Kokon To Zai A/W2010

Style : Regular readers will know my profound love of the Kokon to Zai label, based in both London and Paris. It is one of the hottest labels in London, with a following from the coolest kids in the capital, stylists and those in the know.

Here is the following menswear looks from its latest look book, which, in whole, can be seen here.

The collection has a distinct sportwear aesthetic with a luxe twsit. The top image is fantastic, encapsulating the quilting trend to the extreme with a quilted suit in chocolate. I want the jacket with oversized, fake-fur hood. Whilst Anna Wintour put real fur back on the map almost a decade ago, Karl Lagerfeld set the trend for fake earlier this month in Paris.

The rouched detail on these pieces is a great look that adds a quirky look to pieces such as the hoodie and bottoms, and the ulility trend is really apparent with the camo print jacket. Kokon to Zai is renowned for its off-the-wall, distintive prints and the loud but proud designs in the middle image convey it perfectly.

But I think the two best pieces, which will be on my wish list this season, are the quilted gloves - on the top image - and the oversized, quilted scarf - in the bottom image. Both in chocolate, and as delicious.

I think my two favorite outwear pieces from this collection are the grey marl, knitted jumper and the Kokon to Zai American inspired, sports bomber. Encapsulating the knitwear trend, monochrome and also sportswear, these pieces tick the autumn/winter box perfectly.
