Ultimate Fashion Weekender, Cabot Circus, Bristol

Style : You may have noticed that today's LSoD's tweets have been coming from the Ultimate Fashion Weekender at Cabot Circus in Bristol. The centre, which has been a shining beacon of fashion and retail  in the South-West of England for the last couple of years has today been displaying the best of its stores.

Split into five shows today (and four tomorrow) the mid-afternoon show showcased a tidal wave of on-trend looks for guys. Next presented the strong 70s look for guys with head-to-toe washed denim, which despite sounding wrong was the best side of right. Mushroom chino's teamed with a Liberty-esque printed shirt was a strong look for the retailer, accessorised with a beefy buffalo, smooth grained bag.

Espirit, the European brand that has long been a continental favourite, produced lido chic, a strong urban nautical look which was apparent in Milan SS11 shows. A fine stripe navy shirt was my favourite piece which was teamed with washed denim and white pumps.

French Connection meanwhile, chose to communicate the Mod trend that has come more from the street than the catwalk. A cream Harrington jacket with a French Connection spin and an incredible white shirt with tartan collar trim were my best pieces from the scene, with a red belt double looped with silver was a pop of on trend colour.

For the final, Zara looked towards Prada for colour blocking with one model in white pants with a grape, grandad-collar polo and another in a white unstructured jacket with sea blue pants. One of the strongest scenes from one of my favourite retailers in Cabot Circus.
