Look of the Day: Lou Dalton at Oki-Ni

Style : Lou Dalton has long wowed the fashion industry with her visionary yet wearable collections, and her offering for spring/summer 10 is no exception. And with the current volcanopocalypse - a term coined by me and Style Genius - and the UK airspace off limits, I'm embracing the English sun and thinking what to wear to enjoy it properly.

Oki-Ni.com has an excellent selection of pieces that are perfect to team with the others, like bellow, or to cherry pick to match with high street favourites. Sticking closely to a varied blue pallet, keep things cool and colorful, but reserve the really strong colours for your summer holidays.

Duchess Satin Trousers

Oh, Oh, Oh...have you seen these STUNNING trousers! Gawd, I want them so much. The beautiful duchess satin just makes these sit amazingly, and with the army inspired stripe down the side is a great detail. They have a straight but wide leg cut that puts the skinny look to the back of the wardrobe for the season.

Mohair Wool Shorts

Shorts have really been a key piece for the past few summers, worn with plimpsoles, or, even better teamed with these quite stylized shorts, brogues. With out socks. Defiantly. I find these the perfect length, as some styles from high street stores can be just that little too short, and a great colour for the season. What to wear with them? See bellow...

Short Sleeved Silk T-Shirt

Simple crew neck in silk. Not much else to say but I think the fabric speaks to itself in this light cream pallet.

Long Sleeved Shirt with Silk Collar

I love wearing shirts, with the sleeves rolled up with the buttons slightly undone, and I think this is perfect to wear with both the above shorts or trousers. The gold silk collar is a great and unusual detailing that has not really been seen before and will no doubt off set the pearl buttons perfectly.

Melange Crew Sweater

Another stunning piece, and I would so0o love to wear this with the Duchess Silk Trousers! A mixture of light grey, sky blue and petrol blue the knitted jumper is ideal to slip over during the evening, or, like I would, on its own. Yes, nothing underneath. The knitted trend was seen at Gucci last year, but for something from a bit closer to home, and considerably cheaper.
