LA Diary: Killspencer

Style :

Rugged, recycled and organic chic, Killspencer is the brainchild of Spencer Nikosey who is an industrial based designer in Los Angeles, California. A true craftsman, he likes to bring quality, performance and functionality to his pieces which have an incredible design edge translatable both in LA and the UK.

The current collection consists of three selections; The Repurposed Collection which been reclaimed from former-active military truck tarps. Not only are they waterproof, they  are individually numbered and because they were previously used, have authentic wear and tear. The Historical Reserve Collection is made from aged coated cotton canvas that has been constructed by using up-to 60 year old material. Lastly, The Classic Collection is recently crafted from techie materials which makes up for the ruggedness of the other offerings.

They have a new and improved 'open top' design feature of Swiss made Riri Aquazip waterproof zippers with directional locking buttons-snaps - meaning the bag can be submerged in water and it will not break water in. Further more, two interior side pockets and a waterproof internal zip pocket are ideal to carry a Macbook Air or IPAD2.

Check out the collection, and shop it here, with the pieces above starting at $375 - or £230.
