Trickers x Kurt Keiger

Style :

Trickers is a brand which, after speaking to the Sales Director at Pitti Uomo, Florence, has found itself in a phenomenon of heritage. He said that they get, of late, hundreds of requests for collaborations but it is Kurt Keiger which spotted the modern potential four reasons ago and have continued to do so for Autumn/Winter 2011.

The black, tan and brown boots with Scotch-grain and smooth leather brogueing is launching in July 2011 on www.kurtgeiger.com and in Kurt Geiger concessions in Selfridges, Harrods and Liberty.

This really is a fresh, modern-with-a-classic-edge collaboration for Trickers and Kurt Geiger, which interestingly was originally developed for the Japanese market. The collection takes inspiration from the ‘motor cycle boot’ which originally carried a strap across the front of the boot to protect from the gear pedal. This feature can be seen on each of the styles as a contrasting panel of perforated leather across the toe of the boot.

A continuation from past seasons sees the collection boast Good Year welted soles and strong craftsmanship throughout. The aforementioned colours are exclusive to the UK which, for a British brand is the right thing to do. I am not a fan of these 'exclusive to Japan' offerings as it is a little two fingers up to the fans of brands from other countries.
Boasting a renowned heritage that spans over 180 years, and a reputation for excellence, Trickers is the perfect partner for Kurt Geiger. “The decision to work with Trickers was a simple one; they are a British brand that epitomises the very best in men’s footwear",  comments Neil Steptoe, Head of Men’s Buying at Kurt Geiger. “Their reputation and level of craftsmanship meant it was a natural choice.”
