Last Style of Defense is one of the World’s Most Influential Menswear Blogs (6th, Fashion 100, 2010/11) and is a one-stop-shop for London and Los Angeles menswear news, comment and products that is read in 184 countries world-wide.

The opportunity has arisen for an LA based intern to help communicate the hottest events, trends and products from the Californian city. This is a great opportunity to be part of a highly successful blog and get a hands-on experience of a dynamic and exciting city with a rapidly growing fashion and lifestyle scene. This role would suit a journalism or fashion student, a current blogger or someone with a flare for men’s fashion.


- Attend menswear focused store launches, product launches, shopping evenings press events and creative art exhibitions to report back with first hand images, where possible, and a write up in a timely period.
- Research and scout growing menswear labels and brands.
- Networking effectively to help grow and develop LSoD’s presence in Los Angeles and California.
- Interview individuals for online content.
- Identify and follow current city-based trends.
- Liaise with Dan Hasby-Oliver, Editor of LSoD, and update him via Skype.
- Respond proactively to any other requirements.

- Acess to an internet line that is strong enough to upload high-res images, Skype and videos.
- A love of creative, cool menswear, a passion and eye for new and emerging cultural and fashion trends.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- A good-to-excellent understanding of blogs and social media.
- Posses or have unrestricted access to a good quality digital camera and voice recorder.
- Well organised, self motivated, highly enthusiastic and forward thinking.
- Have safe and easy access to and from the city at all times of the day and night.
- Be of the US legal age for social recreation (21 or over).

This position is part-time and is not paid however as the role develops, remuneration may occur for the right person.
