The Ultimate Fashion Weekender, Cabot Circus, Bristol - Harvey Nichols

'I Get My Kick's From Harvey Nick's' one fashion follower once said, and with today's show - the final in the two days here - you can see why.

The first scene, entiled Outsiders, was a sport inspired mix of designers which could not have been more inclusive of the current trends for this season. The distinctive red soled Louboutins in a camel perfectly matched the tartan cape that made an impact worn with cropped tweed trousers. An edgy layered tail jacket was seen here in Bristol has also been seen in London, with a typical Vivienne Westwood aesthetic.
An oversized kahki wool coat with large buttons and wide bell sleeves completeled the look for the girls, where as the boys trooped a stunning selection of biker boots from Gucci, utility jacket from Belstaff and a Burberry Brit tartan scarf.

One trend that has swept the fashion world is not culture inspired, but television inspired Mad Men, the 1950s themed show based in New Yorks advertising world. Whilst the guys were portrayed in era inspired suits from Paul Smith and Alexander McQueen, it's was the ladies time to shine. A jersey slate grey, mid length dress with winged shoulders kicked off the trend, supported by oragami front pieces and oversized floral dresses in silk chiffon. True to form, a high waisted pencil skirt teamed with a multi-coloured spotted blows with oversized bow lead the way for an array of acessories in leopard print from Givenchy and Christian Louboutin.

To brighten up the season in the aptly named Colour Bomb scene, Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenburg, Givenchy and the newly launched Halston Herritage edged frisia, jade green, aquamarine and tulip red to new autunm hights. Returning for this scene was the oragami finishing, off the shoulder detailing, wrapping and to finish, a beautiful chinoise inpired printed strapless dress upon a semi-sheer silk organza.
