Roland Mouret London Store Launch

Style : The area around London's Mount Street shows no sign of growing as a style centre, as another designer signs up to launch a store on Carlos Place.

Roland Mouret, the esteemed womenswear designer, is set to launch a superstore in 2011 that will house  two floors of brand’s complete womenswear and menswear collections, a Mouret’s atelier, design workshops, studios and a sales showroom. This is really exciting as I completely love the menswear line as it is slick, chic and hints the trends seen on fashion lines.

Mouret comments: "My partnership with Simon Fuller is unique, he has allowed me to develop a business whilst ensuring I always had enough space and resources to follow my intuition and establish the company."

Currently Mouret's menswear line is available at only a few stores in London, and online at Selfridges, holding the Wesson Shirt and the Beretta Shirt. However, the long, and still, awaited Mr. Porter, Net-a-Porters's brother site, will also stock a selection of his line.

Mount Street has seen a huge surge in designer names recently, with Marc Jacobs having two stores locally, Balenciaga and Goyard shying away from Bond Street. If you have ever been up there, it is a relaxing and really nice walk along past some beautiful stores, restaurants and art galleries.
