Pyrenex x Alexis Mabille Launch at London Fashion Week

Style :

One of the hottest, and well catered, events of this week was the Pyrenex x Alexis Mabille event at the Air Gallery, on the achingly cool Dover Street this weekend.

I had previously blogged about the range, which is a puffa jacket collection, using 100% natural feathers to a great specification, and with amazing designs. Although the company is 150 years old, it has long been the name in, surprisingly, bedding and jackets. And now with Alexis Mabille at the helm, it is now a notable name in fashion.

I loved the breadth of the collection, particularly the vibrancy as well as the detailing. The use of fur might not be to everyones taste, but the hoods with fur trim really caught my eye.

We, including Simon Glazen from The Very Simon G and Brad Palmer from Fashion Beans, munched on chicken stuffed flat breads, Asian tasting spoons with radish and mango, and quaffed on Tattinger champagne. In my eyes, the best catered event of the week.

The collection is very vibrant, and although meeting him briefly, Mabille is a fun and inspired person, which is reflected in his work. The price point of the collection is not cheap, averaging £450-£500, but the one I tried on below is defiantly well worth the price tag.
