James Long x London Fashion Week Menswear Day

Style :

This was one of James Long's most successful shows to date, with a strong collection based around knitwear, leather and prints. Yet whilst Long's collection touches on the avent garde,  his collection was wearable, bold and luxurious which makes this collection in particularly strong.

The overall look of the show was a massive explosion of colour, like a large packet of Skittles sweets yet with slim silhouettes that heavily incorporated 3D textures.  There was a heavy focus on knitwear, with laddered stitching, crochet, hand and machine knits in washes out summer pallets of red, pink, blue and purples.  However, the winning fabric was the cowhide and paint splattered leathers jackets that were teamed with printed knee length shorts, teamed with muted coloured suede ankle boots in tan, black and brown.

And one other highlight was Cole Mohr part of the model line up, complete with multi-coloured hair. Always a show winner.
