Acne x Candy magazine in Transvestite Collection

Probably the hottest label at the moment, Acne, has announced it has joined forces with Candy magazine to produce a collection aimed at transvestites and cross-dressers.

The Swedish label, that has won acclaim and a huge following in London, USA and Europe, and Candy editor Luis Venegas, the man behind EY! Magteen,  came together to produce three androgynous shirts made from silk crepe and denim which will go on sale in October.

Each western inspired style will be available in stone wash and denim wash, and is tongue-in-cheekily named after the 1980s show 'Dynasty', a favorite show of Venegas.

Acne's creative director Jonny Johansson, speaking to Vogue said, "Luis energy really reminds of the energy we had when we started Acne." "He seems to be this endless well of ideas and creativity. It is something that instantly attracted me to him. We share an openness to new ideas and expressions, so to work with him felt natural from the start. I'm in this business to have fun and to enjoy myself, and I feel that Luis is too. This collection is a playful collaboration and a celebration of diversity. It touches on ideas I have always played with when designing for Acne, the tension between male and female and what happens when you shift things around a bit. This project has been so much fun."
