When luxury brands announce they now offer e-retailing,  it comes as quite a surprise in a time when fashion and technology have met a perfect synergy. Never the less, Ermenegildo Zegna is the latest to open an online store which recreates the refined and sophisticated aesthetic and atmosphere synonymous with the brand.

The e-store, open now, features Zegna's vast and luxurious array of the Spring/Summer 2011 collections including the sleek, tailored formal wear, upscale casual wear and desirable accessories as well as the Zegna Sport brand.

The store, powered by YOOX Group, will provide online shopping to Europe, the United States, Canada and Japan in four languages; English, Italian (naturally), Spanish and Japanese. The launch also marks the Centennial Anniversary year of Ermenegildo Zegna, which has also created a dedicated Centennial Collection which takes its inspiration from 'Fabric Number 1'. The exclusive and indulgent weave was the first textile woven and used by the founder, from which the company takes its name, in 1910. Moreover, the label has also launched a special edition iPad case for the occasion, created in grained calf skin with the Centennial fabric selvedge design details.
